Proud to have passed highly demanding competitive examinations to gain access to the civil service, that pride has not prevented me from moving away from my comfort zone to make way for a more demanding and humanly enriching project.
My name is Diego Vigueras and I live in Madrid, Spain. At the age of 19, I passed the exams to become a civil servant in Spain, which has been a secure job for many years. However, what I like is developing solutions for third parties, so 6 years ago I left public administration and dedicated myself to my passion.
I deeply believe in constant training in times of change like the ones we live in. I value the learning acquired through experience and following courses, tutorials and forums related to code development, aimed at updating knowledge, without underestimating university degrees and Masters, but taking into account that the knowledge obtained through this type of learning becomes obsolete after a few years due to the speed of digital transformation.
With more than 20 years of experience, I have developed more than 1000 solutions, typical small macros to process and move data in Excel, advanced dashboard with calls to complex databases, or comprehensive projects that have constituted authentic ERP solutions or CRM for different companies.
Although I have developed numerous projects in different programming languages and various fields, currently my expertise is based on VBA development for Office applications and VB.NET solutions. Mainly I provide support aimed to optimization and automation of usual processes of companies in their daily administrative work, through Office tools. Automating processes through Excel VBA and Outlook VBA saves a lot of time and a lot of costs.
I also carry out consulting work for individuals or companies, aimed at increasing the productivity of their procedures with Microsoft Excel. In many cases it is much more practical to teach some strategies and techniques to optimize daily tasks, instead of long and expensive Excel and Office courses that may not be goal-oriented.
Demonstrated high degree of professionalism and quality of work in my VBA Code Optimization contest. He submitted the project in a timely manner, with remarkable results. Highly recommended to people looking for VBA professionals.
Diego was very good with Excel macros. He had helped to parse data, split out addresses and deduped records. Where there were inconsistencies with the data, Diego would offer great suggestions for how to deal with them. I fully recommend.
